Three U.S. soldiers were killed while guarding a children's hospital near Baghdad on Saturday in the latest in a wave of attacks that have not been stopped by the deaths of Saddam Hussein's sons.

Despite two years of operation, the American-led coalition has failed to root out the Afghan-based Taliban/al-Qaeda forces. After a few months of retreat in the face of the advancing American forces in late 2001 and early 2002, they managed to regroup to engage the coalition forces in small-scale hit-and-run operations.

These are times in which there are many more questions than answers, and many Americans are beginning to form and articulate these questions.
